Maria Guida was born in the famous Quartieri Spagnoli in Naples but she now lives and works in Lucca.
She starts her self-taught artistic journey driven by her great fondness for painting that she has since she was a child.
The experimentation and search for recycled materials and painting techniques are the heart and the characterization at the base of her pictorial expression.
Her works can be distinguished by their great sensitivity in the use of colors that can bring poetic worlds and dreamlike cities to life in a time that seems suspended and where the observer can get lost as in a dream.
